inspireme123 I really enjoy the more raw approach to dark ambient this has taken. It feels more organic, and therefore, for me, puts me in a more submersive mental place. Each sound, each texture, in organic sonic form, reaches me on an emotional level, and hooks me. My favorite track is Peregrinations. It is haunting and chilling, and I love it so much I often play it on loop mode. Favorite track: peregrinations.

breathin_heathen I just got it and listened from beginning to end. It was a musical page-turner. It was nice to hear your explanations of the darker tracks on YouTube, but not even necessary. One wonders if those who can’t process darkness are capable of experiencing such joys. I was reminded of Carmina Burana, how O Fortuna has been used in countless movie soundtracks to elicit a dark and creepy vibe, when ironically, the Carmina, taken as a whole, is filled with light and vibrancy. Favorite track: water's edge.

Jørgen Vervliet Hypnagogia puts you somewhere between euphoria and the calm of a confusing yet comfortable dream. It is super! Favorite track: follow the violets.

paulturku From the first note to the end I have a very visual reaction to the music - a bleak degrading industrial landscape seen from a train that just passes this. The landscape is the place where the creator of the music (you, obviously) has roots. A sense of sadness or melancholy but also some relief (the tinkling higher notes) that you are not there anymore.

about

Between dream and wakefulness an untamed landscape awaits, enchanting and frightening, full of light, darkness and unexpected dangers. A crack into a different dimension pulls at us on that threshold and lures us astray into a world where we might lose ourselves among the strange fauna.

Polarcoaster‘s second album invites you to come on a journey full of sonic textures and melodic sparkles, somewhere between ambient and dark ambient, sometimes lush and beautiful, other times alien and vaguely threatening. Come stay a while and follow the violets.
